John Sullivan Memorial served as his residence during his period. The name of the residence was “Pethakal Bungalow”. It was renovated in 2002 by the efforts of Ms. Supriya Sahu, the Nilgiris Collector, and Mr. Dharmalingam Venugopal, the Founder of the “Save Nilgiris Campaign”. The building here is in striking brick-red colour.
While travelling to the John Sullivan Memorial, you can admire the breathtaking views of the valley with the greenery and tea estates. The documents and pictures here belong to Mr. Dharmalingam Venugopal.
